Flooring Customer Service Specialist

(Must have previous flooring experience)

8am-5pm 

$20-$23/hour DOE

 

As a Customer Service Specialist you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services. You will serve as a point of contact for inquiries, concerns, and requests related to flooring solutions. Your role will be crucial in maintaining positive relationships with our customers and fostering loyalty to our brand.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 **Customer Support:** Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits. Address customer concerns, resolve issues, and provide accurate information regarding our flooring products, services, pricing, and policies.

**Order Processing:** Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are recorded correctly. Coordinate with internal teams to fulfill orders and manage inventory levels effectively.

 **Product Knowledge:** Develop a comprehensive understanding of our flooring products, including materials, specifications, installation processes, and maintenance requirements. Provide guidance and recommendations to customers based on their needs and preferences.

  **Scheduling and Coordination:** Schedule appointments for consultations, measurements, and installations in coordination with customers and installation teams. Ensure timely communication and follow-up to keep customers informed throughout the process.

**Complaint Resolution:** Handle customer complaints and escalations with professionalism and empathy. Investigate issues thoroughly, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Strive to achieve satisfactory resolutions for all parties involved.

**Documentation and Record-keeping:** Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and service requests using our CRM system. Keep track of ongoing projects, follow-up tasks, and outstanding issues to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

**Continuous Improvement:** Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices in customer service. Provide feedback to management regarding process improvements, training needs, and areas for enhancement to optimize the customer experience.

 

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in customer service or sales, and in the flooring industry or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including CRM software, MS Office suite, and email.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in customer service or sales are a plus.
