Salary: 25.00-40.00 DOE

Pay Range: $25.00 - $38.00 DOE

Company Overview:

Express is currently helping a well-trusted provider in Austin and Central Texas find a qualified Auto Mechanic with some managerial experience.

The ideal candidate will be a "take charge" individual who can effectively maintain and repair fleet of vehicles, including pickup trucks, diesel engines, and large equipment. In addition to performing general maintenance tasks, this role will involve diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, conducting vehicle inspections, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Manage and organize work orders, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with mechanic helpers.
• Utilize welding skills for repairs and fabrication as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic, with a focus on pickup trucks, diesel engines, and large equipment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Welding skills are a plus.
• Certified vehicle inspection technician preferred.
