We are seeking a skilled Converting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing facility in Lenexa, KS. If you have previous experience in converting machine operations or a background in printing environments, we want to hear from you!

 

Location: Lenexa, KS

 

Pay: $878 - $1,142 per week based on $21.96 - $28.57 per hour and 40 hours worked

 

Schedule: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, two days per week and every other weekend

 

Job Overview:

As a Converting Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by setting up and operating converting machines, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring efficient and quality production. Your responsibilities will include monitoring machine operations, providing leadership and training to team members, maintaining accurate production records, and ensuring that bag/pouch quality meets required specifications. Safety and adherence to quality guidelines will be paramount in this role.

 

Job Duties:

• Set up and safely operate converting machines, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical problems as needed.
• Continuously monitor machine operation for efficiency, quality, and waste minimization.
• Provide leadership, expertise, and training to other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate production records, completing legible production logs on time.
• Ensure that bag/pouch quality meets required specifications and adhere to safety and quality guidelines.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating converting machines preferred, or 1-2 years of experience in a printing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate production records.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide leadership and training to team members.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to quality guidelines.
