We are currently seeking an experienced Ink Technician to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Lenexa, KS. Location: Lenexa, KS

 

Pay: $1,094 - $1,204/week based on $27.35 - $30.12 per hour and 40 hours worked

 

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am

 

Job Overview:

As an Ink Technician, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process by ensuring accurate color matching, ink blending, and inventory management. Your responsibilities will include reviewing print master requirements, monitoring color readings, operating equipment such as ink dispensers and k-proofers, and maintaining detailed records of technical information. You will also provide ink drawdowns, swatches, and color matches for press and customer needs, as well as offer toning expertise and support to the press department.

 

Job Duties:

• Review and understand print master for ink requirements and maintain color files.
• Monitor and understand X-rite and Lab* readings for color accuracy.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as ink dispenser, k-proofer, and hand rollers.
• Maintain accurate records of technical information, including Q.C X-rite readings.
• Provide ink drawdowns, swatches, and new color matches for press and customer needs.
• Offer toning expertise for exacting color standards and adherence to production schedules.
• Blend inks for timely delivery to the press department according to production schedules.
• Follow staging procedures to store inks at the established staging area based on the daily press schedule.
• Identify press returns and manage inventory of new and work-off inks.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Ink Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of color management systems, ink blending, and equipment operation.
• Proficiency in operating ink dispenser, k-proofer, and other relevant equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records of technical information.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
