Position Overview: The Assistant Restaurant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in managing and leading a team of employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Uphold high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality to ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support the General Manager in achieving financial objectives by monitoring and controlling costs, including food, labor, and operating expenses.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
- Assist in handling customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Contribute to menu development and updates in collaboration with the culinary team, ensuring alignment with customer preferences and cost targets.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve restaurant operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role in the restaurant industry is required.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of team building and staff development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it.
