Position: Jr. Recruiter

Department: Workforce Planning

Location: Halawa

Status: Temporary Full-Time on-site (Start ASAP)

Length of Assignment: 6 months

Hours: Must be available Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Rate:  $20-23/hr; willing to negotiate based on experience

Parking: Street parking on Iwaiwa

 

Position Summary:

• Supports the Workforce Planning department with various recruitment tasks including, but not limited to:
• Scheduling interviews
• Updating job postings, prepare and post job ads
• Sourcing
• Assisting with background check clearances
• Assisting with following up on post-offer physical clearances
• Misc administrative duties
• Will also do light recruitment with oversight from TA Representatives, such as conducting interviews for entry-level positions

Experience:

• Bachelor''s Degree from an accredited college or university (preferably in Human Resources Management).
• Customer service experience, HR experience is a plus

Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in verbal and written form.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of general office equipment such as photocopiers, facsimile machines, etc.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,  Microsoft Outlook and routine database activity. (Ex:  email, creating letters, formatting data, using tales, inserting objects).

Clearances:

• Background Check
• OIG/SAM
• Drug Test
• TB Clearance Documentation (one of the options below):
• Two-step tuberculin skin test done within the past 3 months. A two-step tuberculin skin test consists of an initial negative (<10 mm in transverse diameter) tuberculin skin test followed by a second tuberculin skin test placed 1-3 weeks later and read as negative. 
• OR two-step tuberculin skin test done in the past AND one (1) negative tuberculin skin test within the past three (3) months. 
• OR one (1) negative tuberculin test done within the past twelve (12) months AND one (1) negative tuberculin skin test within the past three (3) months.
• OR  Negative TB Blood Test within the past three (3) months, such as QuantiFERON Gold
• OR  If there is a history of a positive tuberculin skin test, a negative chest x-ray (PA) done within the past twelve (12) months
