Overview:

The Director of Business Services will be responsible for identifying strategic business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth through programs, hospitality, community, driving schools, sponsorships, and our large events. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record of success in sales and a deep understanding of market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities, industry trends, and emerging technologies to drive growth and expansion.
  • Analyze market data and competitor insights to inform strategic decision-making and prioritize target markets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's presence in new markets and industries, both domestically and internationally.
  • Drive brand awareness a participation in industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements, and supporting the Marketing Team.

2. **New Business Acquisition/Sales:

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, including corporate sponsorships.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients, customers, and projects through proactive prospecting and networking.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and presentations to pitch products/services to prospective clients.

3. **Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product, and operations, to support business growth initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

4. **Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the business development budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, financial targets, and business development KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.
  • Maintain and negotiate Road America’s liability and event insurance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related fields, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving business targets.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients and partners.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business innovation and growth.
  • Experience in strategic planning, market analysis, and business case development.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience working in relevant industries such as motorsports, sports, events, and entertainment.

Salary and Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
