Our client, a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm headquartered in St. Louis, is seeking a talented Substation Engineer to join their dynamic team. With expertise in electrical, civil, structural, mechanical, and architectural disciplines, this firm specializes in solving complex challenges across infrastructure, power, mining, industrial, and agriculture sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently and collaboratively solve substation engineering problems for clients.
- Undertake projects including transmission tower design, substation design, transmission and distribution line design, and SCADA system implementation.
- Ensure quality in design and responsiveness to clients and colleagues.
- Innovate with unique solutions and adapt to new tools and technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license desired but not required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in T&D Substation Design, SCADA Systems/Design, or System Protection (Relaying) Design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools preferred.
- Working knowledge of the electric utility industry and environmental issues.
