Cosmetic Chemist and Compounder

Express Employment Professionals is currently looking to hire an experienced chemist with a strong background in organic and process chemistry for a cosmetology company located in Brooklyn. The primary responsibilities of this role involve the development of new products and processes related to flavor and fragrance ingredients for both the food and cosmetics industries. The successful candidate will possess a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge in organic synthesis, including expertise in synthetic methodology, catalysis, upstream and downstream processing. The role also entails conceptual design and experimental validation of the devised processes.

Here are the key requirements for the position:

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in organic chemistry or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum two years of industrial experience or related experience.
• Proficiency in various laboratory techniques such as distillation, re-crystallization, sublimation, deposition, extractions, and synthesis.

Skills:

• Ability to design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments and processes.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with various laboratory equipment.
• Physical fitness is required due to the nature of the work.

Schedule:

• This position is for the second shift.
• Work schedule: 8-hour shift, evening shift (Monday to Friday).

Additional Information:

• The job type is full-time.
• Salary ranges from $30.00 to $45.00 per hour.
• There is potential for bonus pay.
