We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technicians for a local company in Lancaster, SC producing and inspecting high-quality spikes for the railroad industry. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, possess strong mechanical aptitude, and demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality. 

 

Pay: $19.14/hr.

Schedule: 1st and 2nd shifts available (12 hour shifts Monday - Friday) 

 

Responsibilities: 

• Set up, operate, and maintain machinery and equipment used in the production of railroad spikes, including forging, cutting, and finishing machines.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Pack finished spikes into designated containers or crates according to specifications, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Sort spikes based on size, shape, and other criteria to meet customer requirements and production specifications.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on finished spikes to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.

 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in operating machinery and hand tools.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
