Hand Polisher

We are seeking a skilled Granite Production Hand Polisher. As a Hand Polisher, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication process, meticulously finishing granite surfaces to meet quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, proficiency with hand tools, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Position Details:

• Compensation: $19+ per hour. Based on Experience 
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, and Friday for overtime as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of consistent employment within the last two years.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Willingness to learn to operate overhead cranes.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including tape measures.
• Ability to read and write English for shop tickets.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail.
• Openness to cross-training and working on a production line.
• Capability to periodically lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand throughout the entire shift, with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.

Responsibilities:

• Cut, grind, and polish stone using specified hand tools.
• Occasional use of air tools for touch-up and detailed work.
• Apply thermal finishes with a torch.
• Utilize automated polish equipment and small power tools for stone finishes.
• Use square and straightedge to ensure accuracy in laying out stone for anchor holes and edge treatment.
• Familiarity with 5-S and TPM duties in the work area.
