QC Inspector - 2nd shift

Job Title: 2nd Shift Quality Control Technician

Location: West Asheville

Hours: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Compensation: $19/hr

Position Summary: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join a team as a 2nd Shift Quality Control Technician in a manufacturing plant in West Asheville area. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, possess strong analytical skills, and be capable of ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality. This position will require training for three weeks on the 1st shift.

Responsibilities:

• Read specifications to understand product requirements.
• Monitor manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Inspect, test, and measure products during various stages of production.
• Utilize hand gauges and other measuring equipment to verify product dimensions and specifications.
• Utilize experience with vision systems for quality inspections.
• Accept or reject finished products based on quality standards.
• Report inspection results and document any deviations from specifications.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.

Requirements:

• At least a 2-year degree in any field or equivalent work experience. Education can be considered in lieu of experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects in products.
• Proficiency in using hand gauges and other measuring equipment.
• Experience with vision systems for quality inspections is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
• Willingness to train on 1st shift for three weeks before transitioning to the 2nd shift.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.
