Diamond Saw Operator

A local Coldspring company wants a vital member to join their team! Are you mechanically inclined or have experience with granite fabrication? This could be your perfect opportunity. As a Diamond Saw Operator, you'll oversee our precision diamond saws' daily operation and maintenance. 

Position Details:

• Hours: Initially trained on the 1st shift for 3 weeks, from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm.
• Compensation: Starting at $19 per hour, with potential for higher based on experience.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, with 1st shift, 2nd shift, nights, and weekend shifts available
• Benefits include: Paid holidays, 401k, health, dental, life, and short-term disability benefits.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift.
• One year of consistent employment within the last two years.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn WCam2K programming software (specific to Diamond machinery).
• Basic PC skills, including familiarity with Windows OS, are advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment.
• Familiarity with basic granite fabrication processes.
• Understanding of fabrication procedures.
• Ability to interpret shop tickets and apply patterns for precise layout.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus, or a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, operate, and maintain Diamond Saws.
• Set up and run machines following established procedures.
• Adjust machine settings for accurate and efficient fabrication according to specifications.
• Create, load, and execute programs.
• Safely load and unload slabs, occasionally utilizing an overhead crane.
• Collaborate effectively with support staff and fellow operators.
• Perform routine Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and machine inspections.
