Assistant Controller

Located in Chatham, ON

Salary: $80,000/Year

A local business in Chatham Ontario is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Enrolled in or planning to enroll in CPA or MBA program
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in a similar role
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting systems
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Self-starter with strong initiative to learn and a diligent work ethic

 

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly financial close tasks including preparation of financial statements
• Reconcile all general ledger accounts
• Analyze monthly financial projections and variances to budget and forecast
• Communicate financial information effectively to various business departments
• Participate in annual financial budget process
• Prepare capital purchase requests with supporting documents
• Implement and maintain internal controls and reporting processes
• Coordinate and conduct inventory counts across various categories

Wage: $80,000/Year
