Description:

 

Prepares material takeoffs by analyzing plans, specifications, and other project requirements. Assists Director of Estimating & Project Management and Project Managers with various delegated assignments or tasks as needed

 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering bid invitations, blueprints, specifications, and other related documents, & maintaining an organized collection of all of the above.
• Assure plans are scaled correctly to provide accurate quantities.
• Identifies material requirements by studying bid invitations, blueprints, specifications, and other related documents
• Identify discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information to provide to Project Manager
• Perform material takeoffs in a timely manner to ensure deficiencies and pricing can be resolved prior to bid day
• Presents 100% prepared takeoff by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information to Project Manager.
• Maintain project takeoff revisions (addenda, change orders, etc.) through life of the project.
• Maintains Bid Tracker with accurate bid date, gc list, and other information to ensure on-time bidding processes, along with post-bid information
• Create Opportunities in Job Runner for incoming bids
• Compile submittal packages for Project Managers for projects won
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
