Express Employment Professionals in Chanhassen is looking for a Paint Prep Tech to work at a company in Delano. The starting pay is $18.50/hr. could go higher with experience! Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares products by doing light bodywork, sanding, blocking, filing and priming
• Assists Lead Painter in preparing products for paint
• Places products for painting on movable platforms
• Moves and stages painted products in drying room
• Responsible for overseeing paint and prep material inventory
• Keeps work area clean and organized
• Communicate ideas and issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure high quality standards.
• Work in a team orientated manner.
• Inspect refurbished materials, assess conditions, and make recommendations for future improvements.

Attributes:

• Able to prepare products for paint application.
• Able to stand and prep all parts for extended times throughout the shift.
• Able to sand and finish product before painting.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in auto body paint preparation is preferred.
• High School Degree or GED required.
• 1-2 years experience required
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experienced with hand tools and sanding devices.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

This Paint Prep Tech position is a day shift position M-F from 7am-3pm (could get overtime during busy times). Hourly pay is $18.50/hr may go higher with experience.
