Express Employment Professionals is looking for an Automation Technician! The Automation Technician is responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of highly automated machines. This role involves a combination of technical skills, problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful production of cutting-edge automated systems. The Automation Technician plays a crucial role in the entire manufacturing process, from initial assembly to final testing and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Assembly:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Assemble and integrate mechanical, electrical, and electronic components to build automated machines.
- Ensure precision and accuracy in the assembly process to meet design requirements.
Installation and Calibration:
- Install and set up automated systems at client locations or in-house facilities.
- Calibrate sensors, actuators, and other components to optimize machine performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues to ensure seamless operation.
Testing and Quality Control:
- Conduct thorough testing of assembled machines to ensure functionality and performance.
- Identify and address any defects or malfunctions during the testing phase.
- Implement quality control measures to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and other team members to improve machine design and functionality.
- Communicate effectively with different departments to streamline the manufacturing process.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users or client personnel.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of machine assembly, modifications, and testing procedures.
- Document issues, resolutions, and improvements for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Create user manuals and documentation for clients and internal teams.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during the manufacturing and assembly process.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with automated machines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automation, mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in the assembly and installation of highly automated machines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, PLC programming (preferred but not required), and automation technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
