Salary: $18.00-$20.00

 

FULL TIME Position

 

• Supports our Assembled Products Division (APD) at Ometek’s warehouse facility.
• OTJ + cross training provided
• Will train in the Assembly Air Port Runway lights and vinyl application of signage.
• Will train and work in tandem with experienced and seasoned associates already on staff.

 

REQUIRED:

^ Previous knowledge, experience or interest in metal work/fabrication; assembly of products etc.

^ Ability to learn Vinyl application and assembly of a variety of metal products and lights.

^ Mechanically inclined: able to use a variety of power/air and hand tools including rivet gun.

^ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with regularity. (average parts run 2-15 lbs).

^ Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull and push during course of  the shift.

^ High attention to detail & fine tactical ability.

^ Pallet jack experience
^ Ability to take direction; work independently as well as a part of a team.   

^ Reliable/dependable attendance record.
^ Contribute to team dynamics, offering solutions to move projects forward.

^ Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).

^ Organizational skills.

 

PREFERRED:
^ 2-3 yrs. knowledge + experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
^ Ability to read and accurately interpret prints +/or schematics.

^ Job Shop experience.
^ Previous Vinyl application helpful but not required.
