Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a Commercial Door Technician to join our client’s established team in Dartmouth. Our client is a leader in delivering outstanding customer service through proficient installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of door systems. Experience in the areas of installer, door installer, renovations, carpentry, construction, commercial door technician, door and frame installer, commercial hardware installer, carpenter, finish carpenter, handyman, apprentice carpenter, and commercial hardware would be an asset for this role.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Required to have proficiency in installing, servicing, and repairing: overhead/sectional doors, rolling steel doors, rolling steel fire doors, industrial rubber doors, high performance/high speed rolling doors, electrical operators, dock equipment, automatic restraints, access controls.

·         Ensure safe transportation of materials and adhere to safety protocols.

·         Maintain customer rapport, address complaints, identify solutions, and suggest enhancements to service protocols.

·         Responsible for providing personal hand tools for installation tasks.

·         Obligated to maintain cleanliness at job sites, properly dispose of waste, clean doors upon work completion, and manage daily restocking of truck supplies including the application of company service stickers. 

Requirements:

 

·         Previous experience as a commercial door technician or similar role.

·         Trade certificate would be an asset.

·         Valid NS driver's license and a clean driving record.

·         Capable of lifting a minimum of 100 pounds and comfortable with working at heights.

·         Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency services.
