Job Title: Tool Mechanic
Reports To: Store Manager
Pay Structure: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Hourly Pay Range: Starts at $32 or more (Dependent On Experience, must provide own tools)

We are actively seeking skilled Mechanics who can excel as part of a team. Effective organizational and communication skills are essential for efficient customer service.
Position Overview:
As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the equipment we rent. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with experience in construction and industrial equipment. Preferred skills include knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, land gas and diesel machinery along with smaller equipment like jack hammers, lawn mowers, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous mechanic service experience in the equipment rental/construction industry and/or related field preferred
- Positive attitude

- Professional & clean appearance
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate understanding of rental software
- Ability to function well as part of a team
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist with inquiries
- Maintain and make Rental Ready a variety of construction equipment and tools
- Perform timely check-out/check-in procedures
- Load/unload equipment
- Check equipment for damage, record hours used, mileage, and fuel levels
- Perform pick up and delivery of equipment and parts
- Evaluate and complete equipment repairs
- Complete Parts Order
- Maintain Parts inventory
- Clean and maintain the shop and equipment
- Ensure a safe work environment at all times
- Inspect equipment and trucks for safety decals and compliance
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Lead Mechanic
Education, Experience, and Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California driver’s license
- Minimum 1-year experience repairing/maintaining equipment
- Basic Equipment Industry training
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Activities requiring handling and grasping with hands when performing repairs or maintenance
- Occasional use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal on equipment
- Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and infrequent lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 4 hours per day
- Ability to bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for prolonged periods
- Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day
- Occasional work at heights above 10 ft
- Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes
