Licensed Veterinary Technician / Vet Tech B070

Express Employment Professionals in Decatur AL is currently hiring Licensed Veterinary Technician for a company located in DECATUR, AL. Position is full-time and has potential for long-term employment.

Skills/Experience Required:

· Willing to work weekdays, weekends, nights, and Holidays as needed.

· Knowledge of Cornerstone and/or IDEXX is a plus!

· Experience with controlling and monitoring anesthesia is a plus.

· Must have basic computer, phone, and customer service skills.

· Comfortable working with Dogs and cats of various sizes and breeds.

· Must be willing to learn and follow both written and verbal instructions, work in a team environment, and work independently.

· Ability to Calculate and Draw up meds accurately.

· Knowledge and ability to give injections IM and SQ

· Would prefer them to know Intubation, Placing IV Catheters, Placing U Catheters, ability to hold correctly, and hang proper fluid.

· Able to follow doctor’s orders accurately while having a willingness to learn any additional skills that may become necessary along the way.

· Previous Medical Veterinary Experience. THOSE HOLDING CREDENTIALS SUCH AS RN, LVT, LPN, AND VARIUS MEDICAL CERTIFICATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. (You will need to be able to provide proof of your credentials).

· Must be able to lift 40lbs unassisted, standing, stooping, bending, reaching, squatting throughout whole shift.

· Ability to arrive at work on time.

· Perform job duties in an efficient and responsible manner.
