Our Pickering client, a full service electrical manufacturer, is looking for an Electrical Motor Winder to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose electric motors and generators to identify faults and failures
• Dismantle motors and generators to access windings, bearings, and other components
• Perform winding tasks on rotor components using appropriate techniques and materials
• Select appropriate wire size, insulation materials and winding techniques based on motor specification
• Reassemble motors and generators with precision, ensuring correct alignment and connection of components
• Conduct tests and troubleshooting to verify the functionality and efficiency of rewound motors
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, including parts used, work performed, and test results
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
• Performs other duties as necessary

Qualifications and Skills:

• 2-4 years experience as a Motor Winder
• Experience using winding machines, tools and equipment used in motor repair
• Experience using hand and power tools, soldering equipment and winding machines
• Able to read and interpret drawings
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Bonus Qualifications:

• Understanding of electrical principles, motor components, and winding techniques.
• Certificate in Motor Winding or related fields (asset)

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Pay Rate: $30 per hour
