Building Maintenance Technician

An apartment complex in Ypsilanti, MI is looking for a Building Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate seamlessly manages work orders and turnovers for a 281-unit multifamily residential property. This is a Direct Hire position.

What you’ll be doing as a Building Maintenance Technician

• Complete various work orders encompassing preventative maintenance, minor plumbing, electrical, drywall, and HVAC tasks.
• Perform turnovers, including fixture replacements, outlet installations, and minor drywall repairs.
• Rotate on-call service with a schedule of one week on duty followed by three weeks off.
• Provide on-call snow removal service, starting as early as 5am or 6am, with responsibility limited to sidewalks.
• Conduct morning ground walks to maintain property cleanliness.
• Manage maintenance tasks for a total of 281 units, divided among a team of four maintenance technicians.

What you’ll need to succeed as a Building Maintenance Technician

• 1+ year in building maintenance
• High School Diploma or equivalent
