Job Title: Apartment Maintenance Technician

Location: Ashdown, AR

Salary: $16-17 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

 

Job Description: As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment communities in Ashdown, AR. Your primary objective will be to address maintenance requests promptly, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and uphold the overall appearance and functionality of the properties.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, appliances, and other fixtures.
3. Conduct inspections of apartments, common areas, and grounds to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards.
4. Complete work orders efficiently and accurately, documenting all repairs and maintenance activities.
5. Keep accurate records of maintenance performed, inventory, and equipment maintenance schedules.
6. Assist with apartment turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and other repairs as needed.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop and storage areas.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
9. Communicate effectively with residents, management, and contractors.
10. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance issues as required.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred.
3. Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
8. Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation.
9. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
10. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and maintenance techniques.
