This major manufacturing specialist is looking for individuals with previous experience specifically in construction accounting. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the organization by ensuring timely and accurate collection of outstanding receivables. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proven track record in commercial collections. Work schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay rate: $20.00-$22.00/hour, depending on experience

• Proactively manage and collect outstanding accounts receivable balances.
• Communicate with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and negotiate payment terms.
• Utilize strong negotiation and relationship-building skills to ensure timely payments.
• Conduct regular reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer payments.
• Generate and issue accurate and timely invoices to customers.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure proper invoicing and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
• Monitor credit limits and work with the credit department to establish and adjust limits as needed.
• Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status to management.
• Analyze trends and provide insights to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to billing and payments.
• Provide excellent customer service to build and maintain positive relationships with clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in commercial collections is highly desired.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
