Express Employment Professionals is collaborating with a leading privately owned distributor of construction supplies in North America. We are in search of a proactive and customer-focused individual to become part of their vibrant team as an Inside Sales Representative. As a nationwide wholesaler of commercial and industrial insulation products, HVAC supplies, 3M Firestop products, and related construction materials, their commitment lies in delivering excellence through premium products and exceptional customer service.

Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate under the guidance of the General and Operations Managers.
• Engage with customers via phone or in person, delivering exceptional service, addressing inquiries, and suggesting product solutions.
• Utilize E-Term to process incoming orders accurately.
• Assist the external sales team by managing product literature/samples, communicating customer interactions, and generating leads.
• Ensure precise pricing and match packing slips for incoming and outgoing materials; occasional delivery duties may be required.
• Determine appropriate billing methods: Cash on Delivery, Cash, Credit Card, or Invoice.
• Handle daily credit card transactions and prepare end-of-month reports.
• Manage the reconciliation of returns from customers or vendors.
• Maintain regular communication with warehouse staff to meet customer needs effectively.
• Support warehouse operations and other tasks as assigned by management.
• Follow up on bids and help resolve any order-related issues for customers.
• Manage incoming mail, faxes, and shipments for efficient distribution.

Candidate Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate 1-2 years of experience in inside sales preferred.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Showcase technical proficiency, including familiarity with industry processes, materials, and software.
• Display effective time-management skills to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with occasional travel as needed.
