Purchasing Manager Hybrid/Remote – Bend, Oregon

What You Get to Do!

We are seeking a Purchasing Manager responsible for overseeing all aspects of purchasing for our company's products. This includes forecasting, ordering, tracking, document sourcing, and inventory management of ingredients, processing aids, packaging, and other production necessities. The Purchasing Manager will enhance purchasing efficiency and collaborate closely with operations, finance, accounting, and quality departments.

  • Forecasting: Build accurate forecasts for all necessary items, adjusting for seasonality, growth, and product changes. Collaborate with finance and operations to refine forecasting accuracy.
  • Ordering: Coordinate with operations for upcoming production needs, ensuring orders are accurately entered into QuickBooks. Reconcile orders with LOT and expiration details, adhering to lead times and addressing any ordering issues promptly.
  • Inbound Tracking: Track all inbound items to ensure timely and complete delivery. Create EDRs (Estimated Delivery Reports) and manage all incoming material communications.
  • Document Sourcing: Secure all necessary pre-shipment documents, including packing lists, CofAs, MSDS sheets, and import documentation. Ensure all paperwork is submitted for production packet creation.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory of raw materials and packaging, conducting monthly reconciliations with accounting and annual on-site inventory counts at copackers and warehouses.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort with math and conceptual thinking in various units of measurement.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse groups.
  • Prior purchasing or beverage industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel (less than 5%).
