Salary: $65,000 - $80,000/Year

The Project Manager/ Estimator will bid RFP’s to arrive at complete and accurate project cost. This includes performing quantity take-off and knowledge of all relevant CSI divisions. The PM/EST will be able to create scopes of work from bid documents and analyze bids for compliance with bid documents. The PM/EST will put together budgets, hard bids, and negotiated bids. The PM/EST will ultimately be responsible for putting together the entire bid and overseeing the project through completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES includes the following, in addition to other duties that may be assigned. Perform accurate, thorough and timely quantity takeoffs and prepare bid proposals by reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings and specifications. Analyze plans to determine material, equipment and labor requirements. Accurately assess plan takeoff workload. Obtain clarification on plans and specifications from architects and engineers when necessary. Administer all aspects of the project including, submittal packages, change orders, RFIs, etc. Work with vendors to obtain material pricing, purchase orders and deliveries. Attend Job Walks and other meetings as necessary. Develop accurate and concise clarifications and assumptions. Solicit and analyze vendor pricing input when required. Ensure the estimating process runs smooth and efficient. Perform technical/plan review when necessary. Manage large jobs with minimal supervision. Develop and track project schedule. Work with architects and clients in a time sensitive environment. Visit Job sites to attend meetings and review job progress and to address any issues. Maintain current material pricing to ensure pricing structure of all products and services are profitable and competitive. Meet productivity goals for bids produced, bids won and margin of error. Review bids to confirm inclusion of all addendums and accuracy. Review RFI’s to determine if they affect scope and generate as needed. Submit completed billing SOV to Accounting monthly indicating job completion percentages. Execute and transmit Masonry submittals prior to job start. Participate with other company personnel in establishing, setting and attaining goals for the business to develop new methods, techniques, systems and ideas to improve the performance of the company.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business or related field experience. 3-10 years of experience in Project Management, Estimating, or related experience. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes opportunity for bonus pay / profit sharing.
