Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a full-time Inventory Associate to join our team in Norristown, PA. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely movement of inventory to and from the warehouse, as well as assisting with the daily operations of the warehouse.

Essential Duties:

  • Work with Supply Chain department to create inventory cycle count program and accurate collection of data.
  • Maintain inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs. Complete all cycle counts as directed by Inventory Control Coordinator.
  • Provide Inventory Control Coordinator with written daily documentation of potential inventory issues.
  • Develop a process to track inventory held in multiple locations (Norristown, Phoenixville, outside warehouse, third party warehouses, etc.) and ensure inventory is in correct location for production.
  • Investigate, track, and reconcile inventory discrepancies; forward results to Inventory Control Coordinator for adjustment. Work to trace problems from item receipt to inventory count.
  • Analyze existing business processes and logic that impact inventory throughout the company through personal observation and user interaction. Work with appropriate staff to determine process improvements to minimize inventory errors and discrepancies.
  • Perform checks of incoming raw materials that might affect inventory (incorrect weight, material, etc.) and report any issues to Inventory Control Coordinator and the Shipping & Warehouse Manager.
  • Organize locations of material to ensure accurate counts of inventory..

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communications skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media – verbal, written, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work environment, remain calm under pressure, and be flexible.
  • Strong computer skills
  • knowledge of Fishbowl preferred.
  • Strong math skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail a must.
  • Knowledge of distribution operations, including equipment, materials, workflow, etc.
  • Certifications in warehouse/material handling equipment Manual pallet jack and one man lift.
  • Abide by attendance standards set by the company.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
