Responsibilities of CNC Machinist:

· Programs Mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switch.

· Ability to maneuver material up to 45 lbs. continuously on the job.

· Troubleshooting malfunctions and perform/calling for repairs.

· Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four-jaw checks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops and stock pushers.

· Maintains specifications by measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.

· Sharpening and replacing worn out equipment’s on CNCs.

· Maintains safe operation by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Skills and experience required for CNC Machinist:

· CNC Machinist experience on either CNC Lathe or Mill machines.

· Mechanical skills and knowledge as a CNC machinist.

· Problem solving ability

· Excellent verbal and written communication as well as functional and technical skills and coordination.

· Calculating requirements for setup and operations
