Express Employment Professionals is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for a construction company in the Temple area.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE(S) of the Heavy Equipment Operator
Operates equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) of the Heavy Equipment Operator

Operates the following equipment based on the requirements of the project:

  • Blade
  • Dozer
  • Loader
  • Scraper
  • Forklift/Telehandler
  • Crane
  • Bobcat/Skid-steer
  • Boom Lifts/Aerial Lifts
  • Roller
  • Follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
  • Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
  • Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
  • Follows work plans and pre-task cards
  • Other duties and responsibilities

  • Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction,
    procedure manuals, and load charts

  • Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
  • Strong teamwork orientation
  • Ability to work independently

Pay:

  • Up to $25/hr DOE

Schedule:

  • Dayshift Hours

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
  • Have 2 or more experience
  • Ability of Obtain Fort Cavazos Base Pass
