Wage: $18.63/hour

Hours: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 5am-2pm

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Works directly around treated wood
• Responsible for removing 1/4" steel rods from between the layers of treated ties
• Operation of air benders to package up treated ties into truck packs
• Uses a tie pick to space ties that are getting made into air stack bundles
• Applies steel endplates to the ties
• Use of an electric drill and a jug to drill holes in treated ties
• Laying plates and spikes on to the drilled ties in preparation for the next step of the production process
• Setting spikes into the ties using a hammer
• Utilizing a jackhammer to push spikes into the ties to a set height

Job requirements include:

• HSD or GED preferred
• Ability to sit, stand, twist, bend, crouch, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs throughout shift
• Present a strong work ethic and a stable work history
• Ability to work in the elements, indoors and outdoors
• Previous Lumber Yard experience is preferred, but not required
