• Machine parts to specifications using tools such as lathes and milling machines.

• Read blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work.

• Perform dimensional layout on all machined parts to confirm conformity to prints and other routing instructions. Ensure applicable documentation is complete i.e. sign off on job card, SIS (Source Inspections Sheets) etc., and computer entry.

• Load and touch off tooling applicable to program.

• Identify multiple surface finishes.

• Deburr and stamp parts to specifications.

• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, jaw attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.

• Able to maintain a clean work area to include emptying waste container, used oil, sweeping chips, replace broken pallets & clean inside/outside of machine.

• Able to read job card and determine product to be produced, instructions, specifications, actual machining time, quantities, etc.

• Observes and follows proper procedures for powering on/off machine.

• Able to adjust machine offsets i.e. wear, geometry, cutter comp, work shift, etc.

• Read program codes such as G-codes, M-codes, S-codes, F-codes, etc.

• Observe all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and observe all safety requirements such as machining guards, lifting techniques, slips and falls prevention, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements:

      The successful candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

      0-3 years’ experience and/or Vo-Tech Machining Training Certificate (mechanically inclined)

      Required to have knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the machining field/production environment.

      Ability to read and understand instructions; quality control; safety; product specifications; drawings.

      Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft Suite) (ERP System)

      Knowledge of precision measuring tools such as dial and vernier calipers, ID MICS, depth mics, ball mics, etc.

      Ability to safely Operate Forklifts

      Good problem-solving skills and able to perform effectively in pressurized situations.

Requires High School Diploma or equivalent
