Located in Rosemead, CA

Established manufacturer seeking a new Quality Engineer to add to our stable team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Quality records cataloguing and maintenance of all on-going projects
  • Develops inspection tests methods techniques to support in-process and final verification of product & processes
  • Coordinates with engineering/manufacturing in flowing down contractual quality requirements of all production builds
  • Assist in the management, maintenance and upkeep of the standard measuring tools and equipment calibration and recall system
  • Assist in product, process, and AS9100 and ISO 9001 QMS certification and maintenance
  • Develop product AS9102 FAIR from customer drawings
  • Participant in performing internal quality audits
  • Assist in compiling, writing and delivering training material on quality standards and activities
  • Review customer purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans

Job Requirements

 

  • At least 1 year of experience operating as a significant Quality Team Member  in an AS/ISO Quality Management System (QMS) environment
  • Working knowledge of ANSI Y 14.5, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Diverse working knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation
  • Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and able to perform analysis of data to obtain process performance measurements

Education

  • Four year college technical degree, Mechanical Engineering (preferred).  Appropriate experience and training may be substituted
  • ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer/Auditor (Preferred)
