A Landscaping Laborer is needed for a business in the Scott Depot, WV area! This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity. As a Landscaping Technician, you will be expected to operate a variety of equipment and have a working knowledge of horticultural practices. You will be expected to be able to work outside and have a good work history. If you have experiences working as a handyman, specifically with Electrical and/or Plumbing or working outdoors we’re looking for you! You will be required to have a valid Driver’s License for this position as a Landscaping Technician. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. You would have to have the availability to be at Scott Depot starting at 8:00am with some days being on call. Steel toes boots are a requirement. Pay is $14-$16 per hour based on experience!

Responsibilities of a Landscaping Laborer:

• Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to back hoes,

bobcats, tillers, sod cutters, weed eaters, plant augers, and drills.

• Operates automatic and stick shift vehicles, such as dump trucks and truck and trailer

combinations.

• Ensures that job is completed in a time-efficient manner.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment.
• Works as a member of the team.
• Maintains assigned equipment and notifies mechanic of needed repairs.

 

Knowledge and Experience of Landscaping Technician:

• Candidate must be able to read and write.
• Good oral and communication skills, job planning skills, and mechanical aptitude are a must.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Steel toed boots

 

 

Job Site Conditions for Landscaping Technician:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment.

 

In addition, job sites are located on both residential and commercial property.
