Assembly Technician for an Ozaukee County Metal Manufacturer 

 

Temp to hire opportunity

1st shift: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm M-Th or 2nd shift: 3:30p - 2:00 am

$17/hour

 

Job Purpose:   Responsibilities include piecing together the product, often with a team performing quality assurance on the entire process.

Essential Job Function:

• Assemble or fit machined parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or on the production floor/cell
• Operate machines to perform simple machine operations on highly repetitive and standardized parts
• May perform routine or repetitive spot weld operations
• Recognize defective parts
• Meet quotas as required in work instructions applicable to job being run
• Follow all company policies and procedures as applicable to position
• Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures (5S)
• Understand and follow health, safety, security, and environmental practices

Abilities, Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to use various hand tools
• Ability to use gauges to check parts
• Requires a fundamental knowledge of machine shop operations acquired by on the job training
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across functions and organization
