Are you used to getting your hands greasy working on large projects? Express Employment is recruiting a full-time experienced Diesel Mechanic to work for a locally owned Laramie company.

 

Requirements:

• 3-4 years (must be verifiable) as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic
• High School Diploma/GED or graduation from accredited technical school
• valid driver's license required

 

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday and half-days on Saturday
• Pay: $25/hour
• Benefits after 1 year: 401k (3% company match), health care, paid time off, and holiday pay

As DIESEL MECHANIC you will be responsible for performing maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. You’ll work independently on vehicles that require a high level of skill with hydraulics, electrical, and diagnostics.

Diesel Mechanic Job Duties:

Review work orders to evaluate the tasks required and inspect trucks for proper performance

Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret the results to offer suitable solutions

Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with industry standards

Schedule and maintain service for industrial machines and equipment

Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts

Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer

Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended

Communicate with service manager if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time

Document all work performed and make recommendations on the repair order

Road tests vehicles when required

Report machinery defects, malfunctions, or safety issues to management

Participate in training programs, classes and events as requested
