 A local company is searching for a Machine Operator with the primary responsibility of operating CNC, VTL, and/or Mazak units.  This individual will be fully knowledgeable about full operation of equipment.  The CNC Operator/Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to produce precision parts, producing small batches or large quantities of part and ensuring products meet precise specifications.  Machine Operators work independently and as part of a team and must be willing to be constrained.   

 What we look for in Machine Operators:

• Prior experience as a machine operator, including with diverse high-speed machinery
• Create and edit specialized programs with G&M codes based upon information provided on prints. 
• Read prints to determine correct placement of parts in tool fixtures.
• Perform part inspections, using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or height gauges. 
• Able to make adjustments to the programming or tool offsets as needed to maintain part tolerances. 
• Adhering to safety procedures. 
• Willingness to train new hires.
• Attention to detail, specifically in following production procedures
• Safely and accurately operate equipment as assigned

 Educational Requirements:

·         High school diploma and basic math skills

·         Experience with specialized programing languages to CNC, VTL and/or Mazak machines.

 Experience Requirements:

·         3-5 years of as a CNC Operator Machinist

·         Ability to use various measuring tools

·         CAD/CAM experience a plus

·         Knowledge of GD&T

·         Solid understanding of blue prints and ability to work from them
