The Machine Operator's role encompasses various responsibilities, starting with machine setup and ensuring adherence to safety protocols throughout operations. They oversee the assistant operator and other employees to guarantee compliance with production and safety procedures. Tasks include unpacking and inspecting incoming materials, processing parts and tooling for production, and managing defective parts returns. They maintain detailed production reports and interpret factory spec sheets, monitoring cutting dies and printing plates as needed. Additionally, they prepare materials for manufacturing runs, communicate material schedules to the crew, and track production materials for quality and accuracy. Final inspection procedures, reporting defective materials, and maintaining adequate production supplies are also part of their duties. They uphold cleanliness and safety regulations in the work area, prepare preventative maintenance schedules, and oversee machine operation training, emphasizing safety procedures like Lock Out/Tag Out
