The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the upkeep of the plant, production machinery, facility, and grounds. This role requires hands-on involvement with various machines, spanning from those manufactured in 1957 to modern models. Proficiency in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is necessary to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and related support systems. Safety is paramount, with a focus on managing hazardous repairs and machine operations in compliance with regulations such as LOCK OUT/TAG OUT and other Department of Labor, Department of Transportation, and OSHA requirements. Collaborating with the safety committee and chairman, the Maintenance Technician ensures workplace safety and compliance. Additionally, this role involves organizing and maintaining the maintenance department, including tools, reports, manuals, and overseeing contractor support systems and bids for external job requirements in conjunction with management.
