Maintenance Technician
Located in Grand Rapids, MI
Salary: $22-$30/hr, DOE
Maintenance Technician Job Summary:
A world-class food manufacturer in Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its growing 2nd and 3rd shift teams. The Maintenance Technician will maintain production equipment completing, routine maintenance as well as emergency calls.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment
- Follow predictive and preventive maintenance plans
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
- Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Understand and troubleshoot and/or replace or repair PLC controllers
- Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, test and adjust as needed
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
- Update employees and team on the status of requested maintenance support
Schedule:
- 2nd shift, 2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday, overtime occasionally required
- 3rd shift, 11pm-7am, Sunday-Thursday, overtime occasionally required
Pay: $22-$30/hr, depending on experience
Maintenance Technician Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- 2 or more years of machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, as well as mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Previous food manufacturing experience is a plus, not required
