Express Employment is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HVAC Service Manager to join our team and lead our HVAC department to new heights of excellence. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the HVAC department, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and revenue growth. Here are the essential responsibilities and qualifications for this position:

Job Responsibilities:

Managing Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HVAC department to ensure efficient and effective performance.

Safety Standards: Ensure that all employees and contractors adhere to the highest safety standards to maintain a secure working environment.

Contractor Selection: Review bids from contractors and select the most suitable ones that meet the company's needs while staying within the budget.

Installation Oversight: Oversee the installation of new HVAC systems and equipment to ensure proper and efficient installation.

Technical Support: Schedule and provide technical support to HVAC technicians, troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.

Revenue Goals: Understand the sales criteria and hold your team accountable for exceeding revenue goals, especially in our commercial income segment.

Quality Assurance: Review technicians' work to ensure it meets established quality standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following qualities:
  • Close to retirement, with the willingness to train and mentor junior team members.
  • Professional and knowledgeable in the HVAC field
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and controls, with the ability to read blueprints.
  • Highly detailed and organized in their work.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the team and coworkers.
  • Strong follow-up skills on service calls, ensuring accurate billing and documentation.
  • Computer literate, with a willingness to adapt to digital tools and software.
  • Willing to put in the effort to help re-establish our department as a leader in the industry.
  • Experience in the commercial HVAC sector is highly preferred, as our focus is primarily on commercial projects.
  • Willingness to consider relocation if the right candidate is found, with the possibility of offering moving expenses.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package: Pay will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Simply IRA with a 3% match.
  • Benefits at 80/20: Employer covers 80% of the cost, and employees cover 20%.
  • Medical coverage for employees only at this time.

  • Phone allowance of $50.00 per month.

This position primarily involves office hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility to accommodate earlier hours if needed.
