Position Summary:

As a Warehouse Man (Forklift/Pallet Jack Operator), you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of packaged produce within our refrigerated warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as electric and manual pallet jacks, to handle and transport goods accurately and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport packaged produce within the warehouse.
• Utilize electric and manual pallet jacks to move pallets of goods to designated storage areas.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols to prevent accidents, damage, and product spoilage.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, ensuring proper documentation.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to organize and optimize storage space.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any issues promptly.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
• Participate in inventory counts and audits.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1 year of recent forklift operating experience.
• Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as electric and manual pallet jacks.
• Strong understanding of safety guidelines and procedures in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment and handle packaged produce with care.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work Sunday through Thursday, including overtime and weekends if required.
