Job Title: Team Lead

Schedule: Mon-Wed: 11:00AM to 7:30PM, Sat & Sun: 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Description/Requirements:

As the Hotel Team Lead, you'll be the GM's right hand, optimizing operations, resolving guest & associate issues, all while driving 100% guest satisfaction.

 

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES

• Champion guest satisfaction by leading initiatives and resolving issues.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring compliance with our guests, vendors and staff, managing finances, and maximizing revenue.
• Empower your team by training associates and fostering a service-oriented culture.
• Be a problem-solver by handling guest concerns and adhering to safety and security protocols.
• Assists with monitoring monthly inventory of supplies and equipment. Ensures that day-to-day purchases are within budget and with approved vendors. Assists the GM in maximizing revenues and flow through to GOP to meet or exceed budgeted EBITDA.

OTHER DUTIES

• Drive Operational Excellence: Partner with the GM to implement initiatives for increased revenue (up to budgeted EBITDA), reduced costs, and improved guest and associate satisfaction (aim for 100%).
• Uphold Standards & Safety: Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and safety procedures, promptly reporting any issues to authorities.
• Lead & Train Your Team: Train associates on company standards and performance expectations, fostering a service-oriented culture within your 8-15 member team.
• Be the First Line of Defense: Serve as the first point of contact for guest service issues, resolving them directly or escalating to the GM as needed.
• Assist with sales, provide relief duties across departments, inspect guest rooms, and monitor social media for timely responses.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

• Craft clear written and verbal communication (English) for guests, associates, and vendors.
• Tech Savvy: Operate the hotel management system with confidence.
• Perform basic arithmetic calculations (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
• Oversee 8-15 hourly staff, ensuring peak daily performance and prioritizing tasks effectively. 

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Physical Demands: Sitting, walking, navigating the hotel, handling objects (up to 25lbs), occasional climbing/bending.
• Conditions: Variable weather, sometimes humid, around machinery/chemicals, moderate to loud noise. The associate occasionally works in wet humid conditions (non-weather related), near moving mechanical parts, in the presence of fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
• Travel: Possible travel within a reasonable region to support other locations or cover for the GM.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior hotel experience is required.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous supervisory experience is desired.
