Job Summary:

The Plant Powder Coater position is an Entry Level position that will be trained in various aspects of the manufacturing and powder coating of Tank parts.

 

 

Role and Responsibilities

• Clean powder overspray on panels and parts as necessary to meet coating quality requirements.
• Expected to assist the Powder Coater during cleaning and replacement of filters as required by the manufacturer’s schedule and able to change/clean filters between different colors.

• Assist in gathering the appropriate powder needed for the day’s task.
• Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Maintain workflow in the specific area of responsibility as well as notify management of any product flow issues in other areas within the department.

• Assist department team members as required and notify the supervisor of any product or tooling deficiencies.
• Responsible for ensuring a clean and safe work environment, assuring the safety of employees, and reporting any unsafe areas or acts in the workplace.

• Utilizes Respiratory protection as needed for grinding, powder coating, and blasting.
• Required to wear coveralls and respiratory protection at all times when handling powder (inside or outside) booth.

• Able to work with hearing protection in loud conditions.
• Use liquid paint with brushes or spray cans to touch up tank coating
• Properly use and maintain all company tools and equipment In good working condition

 Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
