Position Title: Accounting Specialist

Pay Range: $25-30/HR DOE

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our a fantastic client in Denver. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable:
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and approval.
  • Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfer.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain vendor files and assist with year-end 1099 reporting.
• Accounts Receivable:
  • Generate and send customer invoices accurately and timely.
  • Follow up on past due accounts and manage collections process.
  • Post customer payments and reconcile accounts receivable ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify delinquent accounts.
• General Ledger:
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Perform account analysis and variance analysis as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Financial Reporting:
  • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare various reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and projections.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Implement best practices to streamline accounting processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance overall financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
