Sheet Metal Inspector needed for an Aerospace Company in Santa Clarita, Ca.

Job Description:

• Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations.
• Approve or reject raw materials for quality standards and record supplier performance.
• Inspect all parts and assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.)
• Use various micrometers, calipers, and gauges to measure to inspect parts.
• Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective parts, assemblies, RMAs, etc.
• Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.
• Prepare and submit reports to the QC Manager

Skills:

• Proficiency with measuring and inspection equipment, calipers, verniers, micrometers, etc.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office
• Basic math and analytical skills and can demonstrate good written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to learn and be part of a growing, high-functioning team.

Requirements of successful candidates include:

• Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role within a sheet metal shop (at least 3 years)
• High school degree or equivalent
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
• Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
• Responsible and trustworthy
• Work with engineering and production to address and resolve quality issues
• Proficient in precision sheet metal fabrication methods
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Standing the majority of the time, walking, bending, reaching

Attire: Jeans, T-Shirt, Work boots 

Pay Range: 25.00 – 28.00

Schedule: 7 am – 3:30 pm
