Financial Analyst - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance REQUIRED

Job description

Our client is seeking an individual for a Financial Data Analyst. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. Prospective employees should have at least five years’ experience in an Accounting role, and knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

Responsibilities shall include the following:

• Assist and team with the CFO to put together the annual budget. Perform actual versus budget analysis to monitor the firm expenses.
• Responsible for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

• Review departmental budget proposals
• Provide quarterly budget versus actual analysis for department managers
• Analyzing monthly spending patterns
• Report monthly variance to the CFO
• Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Excellent mathematical ability and an analytic
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
• Help CFO with pension contribution related tasks
• Assist the Controller with accounting related journal entry and reconciliations
• Ad hoc projects

Skills:

• Strong Excel skill required

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to manage large amounts of data in an organized fashion

• Ability to work under strict timelines
