Quality Technician

Located in Indianapolis , IN

Salary: $25-26/hr

Job Summary:

·         Responsible for managing/performing all gauge calibration.

o   Manages all gauge, tool and fixture calibration using GagePack software to ensure that monthly calibrations are performed as scheduled.

o   Performs the calibration process for calibrations we perform inhouse.

o   Manages and solicits quotes for outside calibration services.

o   Responsible for keeping all gauge calibration certification and supplier certs up to date and making sure our calibration process meets IATF requirements.

o   Interacts with 3^rd Party Auditors during AS/IATF/Internal Audits

·         Performs receiving inspections of purchased materials and documents findings Phone screenings

·         Collects and records results of sampling and testing to maintain record of product quality

·         Help Quality Inspectors perform First and Last Piece inspections and inspect production parts when demand peaks.

·         Observes production personnel performing operations, part handling, nonconforming material handling, and verifies nonconforming documentation

Position Type: Evaluation to hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30A-5:00P

Pay:  $25-26/hr

Qualifications: 

·          High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably within the automotive industry

·          Understanding of the purpose of and how a gauge calibration system works and proficient using various types of measuring and inspection equipment.

·          Proven mathematical skills in shop algebra and trigonometry.

·          Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawing and Specifications

·          Ability to write and work from detailed technical or functional specifications.
