Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Trailer and Cargo Tank Technician for a Truck Repair company in Eugene, OR. This dynamic position is for a company that has been in service for 48 years and going strong.

This position would involve performing specialized duties in the repair, inspection and maintenance of heavy trucks and trailers and other related equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous mechanic skills, welding/fabrication skills, and who loves solving problems. Here, you will learn and expand your knowledge and use your talents for a wide array of job duties that can keep you engaged day-to-day.

This is a career position so we are looking for someone who is seeking long-term employment.

This position would involve learning and training over a 3 year period. You would not need to know the job coming in, but prior experience is preferred.

Pay, Hours and Benefits

• $45,000-73,0000 annually dependent on experience
• Five 8 hour shifts or 4 10 hour shifts.
• Swing shift, 2:30PM-11PM

Tuesday - Friday

• Evaluation-to-hire. Upon hire benefits would include: Paid Time Off

Requirements

• Valid Oregon Driver License with a clean driving record
• Pass Drug Screening that includes THC
• High school Diploma or GED
• Some welding experience
• Some auto mechanic/maintenance experience and mechanically inclined
• A problem solver
• Be comfortable working within tight, confined spaces as required to for work within truck tankers
• Be able to read and write in English
• Be able to lift up to 75 lbs

Job Duties

• Repair, inspect and maintain trucks and trailers
• Perform routine vehicle preventative maintenance while following preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of the work performed
• Diagnostic in all engine software and braking systems, air systems, HVAC diagnostic and repair, and drivetrain diagnostic and repair
• Perform engine repair and overhauls.
• Troubleshoot and analyze malfunctions of equipment
• Confirm diagnosis, repair, and test repairs
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor
